Yes, the better golf courses are on the west side of the Costa del Sol, but have you seen the price of the green fees. Occasionally I do drive over to the Marbella/Puerto Banus area (its about a 1 hour 15 minutes drive), and play one of the amazing courses, but generally I stick to the 3 courses that are local.

Baviera Golf

This is the nearest golf course to my apartment, and has an excellent driving range/practice facility.

Los Moriscos Golf Club

This course it literally right on the beach, and the clubhouse has a lovely decked area by the sea where you can relax before or after the round.
